Social Skills Training

Most young children may experience some sort of difficulty with social interaction, whether it is difficulty sharing toys, waiting for a turn, tolerate losing a game, or asking peers to play.  Social skill deficits can lead to peer rejection, and isolation. We will help your child learn these significant skills, to help foster friendships by teaching things such as appropriate play, how to communicate with peers, initiate interactions, and ask and answer questions.  Sessions may take place in your child’s daycare/school setting, community, or at home with siblings or another peer present.
