Feeding Intervention

Once medical issues related to feeding are ruled out, we can help expand your child’s acceptance of different foods and increase independence during mealtime by working on skills such as self-feeding.  Shaping procedures used may include first having your child touch the non-preferred food, then placing the food to their lips, then finally taking/chewing a bite. Our goal is for your child to have an increased willingness to try new foods and improve behavior during family mealtime.
